Corruption in Russia

Corruption in Russia means that some people who have important positions in the government or big companies might be doing naughty things. Instead of doing their jobs fairly and following the rules, they might take bribes or do favours for their friends or family members. This is not good because it means they are not doing what is best for everyone, but only for their own benefit. Corruption can also make it harder for regular people to get things done, like getting a job or getting help from the government. It's like when your big brother gets all the cookies just because he's the favourite, but everyone else is left hungry. The grown-ups in charge of Russia are trying to stop the corruption, but it's not always easy because some people might not want to change their naughty ways.
