Cosmic ray visual phenomena

Cosmic ray visual phenomena are special patterns of colored lights in the sky that are caused by high-energy particles from outer space hitting our atmosphere. When these cosmic rays hit the air molecules in the sky, they can make them light up, just like when you turn on a light in a dark room. The air molecules give off different colored lights depending on how fast the cosmic ray particles were moving before they hit the air molecules, and the patterns of colored lights in the sky can look very beautiful.
