Coulomb gauge

A Coulomb gauge is like a ruler for electric fields. Just like a ruler is used to measure physical objects and distances, the Coulomb gauge is used to measure electric fields. It is named after French physicist Charles-Augustin de Coulomb, who first used it to measure the force between two electric charges. The Coulomb gauge measures how strong an electric field is, and how different it is in different directions.
