Counterexample

Hey kiddo, do you know what a counterexample is? It's a way to test if an idea or theory is true or false. Let's say someone says "all birds can fly." We can test this idea by trying to find a bird that can't fly, like an ostrich or a penguin. These birds are counterexamples because they don't fit the idea that "all birds can fly".

A counterexample is like a special example that breaks a rule or idea. It shows that the rule or idea is not always true. Just like how we used the birds to test the idea that "all birds can fly", we can use counterexamples to test all sorts of ideas and theories. It's a way for us to make sure that our ideas are really true and not just guesses.
