Okay kiddo, so let's talk about covenants in the Latter-day Saint faith!
When we talk about covenants, we're talking about promises that we make with God. Just like how you might promise your friend that you'll share your toys at playtime, we make promises to God about how we'll live our lives.
In the LDS church, we make covenants in a special place called the temple. It's a really sacred place where we can feel closer to God.
When we make covenants in the temple, we promise to do our best to follow certain rules and guidelines. These promises are really important to us because we believe that God is always there to help us when we keep our promises to Him.
For example, one of the covenants we make is to keep the commandments. That means we promise to try our very best to live the way God wants us to. Another covenant we make is to be honest in all our dealings with others.
Making covenants is a really special and important part of our faith. It helps us remember that we're all children of God and that we have an important role to play in His plan for us.
