Cover-coding

Hey there! Do you know how sometimes we need to put a cover on our books or notebooks to protect them from getting damaged? Cover-coding is just like that, but for computer programs!

Computer programs are made up of lots of small parts, like numbers and letters, called code. Sometimes, people who make computer programs want to keep their code secret, so they put a cover on it called cover-coding.

Cover-coding means taking the original code of a computer program and changing it so that it looks different, but still works the same way. Think of it like putting a secret code on your diary so that only you can read it.

When someone wants to use the program, they need a special key to unlock the cover and see the real code. This key is like a password that only certain people know.

So, cover-coding is just a way to protect the code of a computer program from getting stolen or copied by someone who isn’t supposed to have it. Pretty cool, right?
