Credence table

A credence table is like a special table that helps people know if something is true or not. It's kind of like a table of trust.

So let's say you have a friend who tells you that they saw a giant unicorn walking down the street yesterday. You might not believe them right away, right? But what if another friend comes along and says they saw the same thing? Well, now you might start to think there's a chance it's true.

That's where the credence table comes in. It's a way to organize all the different pieces of information people have about something, and to see how much trust you should give to each one.

Each piece of information (like your friend's unicorn sighting) gets its own category on the table, and you put them in order from most trustworthy to least trustworthy. So if you've got one friend who's usually really honest and they say they saw the unicorn, that might go in the most trustworthy category. But if you've got another friend who's always joking around and making things up, their story might go in the least trustworthy category.

The credence table helps you see all the different pieces of information you have, and decide how likely it is that what your friends are telling you is true. So if you've got a lot of trustworthy information pointing to the unicorn being real, maybe you'll start to believe it too!
