Credible interval

Credible intervals are like what you use when you've guess the correct answer on a multiple choice test. They let you know how confident you can be that you guessed the right answer. A credible interval is a range of numbers that are being used to estimate a true value, such as the average of a population. It tells you how confident you can be that the true value lies within the range. For example, if you estimate that the average age of people in your city is 34 years and the credible interval is between 33 and 35, then you can be 95% sure that the true value of the population average age lies somewhere between 33 and 35 years.
