Criminal libel

Criminal libel is when someone says hurtful or mean things about another person, and the words they say could make other people think badly about the person. It's a crime because it can make the person that they are talking about feel very bad in a lot of different ways. It's important to be kind to people and not say mean or hurtful things about them.
