Once upon a time, there was a man named Croesus. He was very rich and powerful. He wanted to know what would happen in the future, so he went to a wise person called an oracle. This oracle was supposed to be able to predict the future.
Croesus asked the oracle if he would win a big battle. The oracle said yes, he would win the battle. Croesus was very happy because of this, and he went to battle. However, he ended up losing the battle and his kingdom was conquered. He was very sad and confused because the oracle had told him he would win the battle.
This is where the concept of fate comes in. Fate means that everything that happens in our lives is predetermined and we cannot change it no matter how hard we try. In Croesus' case, his fate was to lose the battle even though the oracle had told him he would win. Some people believe that everything that happens in our lives is already predetermined by fate, while others think we have some control over our lives and can change our fate.
So in this story, Croesus learned that even though he was rich and powerful, he could not change his fate. Sometimes things happen in our lives that we cannot control, and we have to learn to accept them and move on.
