Cross and circle game
The cross and circle game, also known as the game of goose or snakes and ladders, is a board game that people can play together. The board has a bunch of little squares on it with pictures or numbers on them. Each person playing the game has a little piece (called a game piece) that they move around on the board to try and win the game.
The goal of the game is to get your game piece all the way to the end of the board before the other players do. You roll a special dice (which has numbers on it) to see how many squares your game piece can move. If you land on a square with a picture or number, you might have to do something special, like go back a few spaces or move ahead a few extra spaces.
