Cuckoo clock

A cuckoo clock is a special kind of clock that has a little bird inside of it that pops out and makes a noise like “cuckoo” to tell you what time it is.

The clock has two weights, one on each side, which hang down and help the clock to keep ticking. The weights need to be wound up every day by pulling on a chain, which makes the weights go up and gives the clock power to keep ticking.

When the clock ticks, it makes a sound like “tick-tock, tick-tock.” This is because inside the clock, there are special parts called gears that turn and make the hands move around the clock face.

At certain times during the day, the little bird inside the clock pops out of a door and makes the cuckoo sound. This happens because there are also special parts called bellows that push air out of two pipes, making the bird sound.

You can tell what time it is by looking at the clock face and seeing where the hands are pointing. If the little bird makes two “cuckoos,” it means it’s 2 o’clock. If the bird makes twelve “cuckoos,” it’s time for lunch!

Overall, a cuckoo clock is a fun and interesting way to tell time that has been around for many, many years.
