ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Culpability

Culpability means being responsible or accountable for something wrong or bad that happened. It's like when you accidentally break your mom's vase by throwing a ball inside the house. You didn't mean to break it, but you still take responsibility for what you did because it was your fault.

Now, imagine you're driving a car and you accidentally hit someone while you were not paying attention. That means you are responsible for what happened and it is your fault. This is known as culpability. It's important to know if someone is culpable because it helps us determine who is responsible for any harm or damage caused, and make sure they are held accountable for their actions.
