ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cultural policy

Okay kiddo, so cultural policy is when different countries and governments make rules and decisions about how they're going to support and promote things like art, music, literature, and other things that are important to people's cultures.

Think of it like a game. Every country gets to pick what rules they want to use to make sure everyone gets to play fairly and enjoy the game. But instead of a game, it's their culture that they want to promote.

For example, some countries might decide to invest money into museums so people can learn about art and history. Other countries might make laws to protect traditional music and dances from getting lost over time.

Every country has their own way of doing things, but the main goal is to make sure that people can appreciate and learn about their cultural traditions. Does that make sense, kiddo?
