ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cultural survival

Cultural survival means keeping a group of people's way of life and traditions alive, even if the world around them is changing. This is important because every group of people has their own special way of doing things that makes them feel happy, safe and connected to each other. Sometimes, when other people or cultures come in and try to change things, it can be hard for the group to hold on to their beliefs and practices. Cultural survival means finding ways to preserve and maintain those beliefs and practices so that the group can continue to live as they always have. It involves respecting and valuing the unique aspects of a culture while also adapting to changes when necessary. By doing this, people can continue to honor their ancestry and pass on traditions to future generations.
