Curacoa volcano
Okay, so you know how sometimes there are big mountains and they have hot lava coming out of them? Well, Curaçao is a place where there used to be a volcano.
A long time ago, this mountain would throw out hot rocks and ash and the lava would flow down the sides. But now, the mountain is not active anymore, which means it doesn't throw out hot stuff anymore.
This place might look like a normal island today, but there is evidence that this volcano used to be very powerful. We can see big rocks that were thrown out a long time ago, and there is even some hot water that is still bubbling up from the ground because of the heat leftover from the volcano.
So while Curaçao might not have an active volcano today, it is still a pretty cool place to learn about the earth's past and how mountains and volcanoes are formed.
