Okay, so you know how money looks different in different countries, right? Well, just like that, every country has its own currency symbol. It’s like a picture that represents their money.
Sometimes, people use these currency symbols on computers to show how much money they are talking about. But computers don't understand pictures like we do. So, there had to be a way for computers to understand these currency symbols, even if they look different in different countries.
So, smart people made something called Unicode. It’s like a big book of computer symbols that computers can understand. And in this book, there is a special section just for currency symbols.
This section has special codes for every currency symbol in the world. When we type those codes on a computer, it automatically shows the correct currency symbol for that code.
So, if we want to write something like $100 or ₹500, we simply type the code for the dollar or rupee symbol, and the computer shows that symbol. Finally, we can easily talk about money even online, without any problems. And that’s a good thing, isn’t it?
