Cursive hieroglyphs

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen pictures of ancient Egypt with funny-looking pictures on the walls and on paper? Those are called hieroglyphs, and they are a way that people used to write in ancient Egypt.

Now, sometimes people would write hieroglyphs in a special way that looked like fancy handwriting called cursive. It's like when you write your name really fancy, but instead of just one word, it was a whole bunch of pictures that told a story or gave information.

This cursive way of writing hieroglyphs was mainly used by scribes who were like important writers and record keepers in ancient Egypt. They would use a special reed pen to make smooth lines and curves to make the hieroglyphs look really nice.

So, cursive hieroglyphs are just a fancy way of writing these cool pictures that people used a long time ago.
