Curve fitting

Curve fitting is like drawing a line that goes through a bunch of points you have. Imagine you have a bunch of dots on paper and you want to find the best line that goes through them all. Curve fitting is the process of calculating what that line would look like. You can use different methods to do this, like fitting a straight line, or a curved line, or even more complicated shapes. The result of the curve fitting will be the parameters of the line (or shape) that describes the points you have best.
