ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cycle responder

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen an ambulance and wondered what it does? Well, sometimes the ambulance can't get to people who need help really quickly because the traffic is too busy, and that's where a cycle responder comes in!

A cycle responder is a special kind of helper who rides a bike very fast to get to people who need help. They have special training to be able to help people who might be hurt or sick, like putting band-aids on cuts or helping someone who is feeling really dizzy.

Because they ride a bike, cycle responders can weave through traffic and get to people who need help very quickly. They wear special clothes and a helmet to keep themselves safe while they ride.

So the next time you see someone riding a bike really quickly with a special uniform on, they might be a cycle responder, doing an important job to help people in need.
