Okay kiddo, so let's talk about cyclospasm. Have you ever heard of the word "spasm"? It means your muscles have a very sudden and strong movement that you can't control. Like when you have a leg cramp and your muscle tightens up really hard and you can't move it.
Well, a cyclospasm is a type of spasm that happens in your eye muscles. Your eyes have tiny muscles that help them move around and focus on things. But sometimes these muscles can get too tight or too relaxed all of a sudden, and that's what we call a cyclospasm.
Cyclospasms can cause different symptoms depending on where it happens in your eye muscles. Sometimes they can make your eyelid twitch, or make your eye feel like it's blinking more often than usual. Other times they can make it hard for you to focus your vision or make your eyeball move around quickly and jerky.
Cyclospasms can happen to anyone, but they're usually not serious and go away on their own. If you ever have any problems with your eyes or they start to feel strange, always tell a grown-up you trust and they can take you to a doctor who can help you feel better.
