Cyhyraeth

Okay kiddo, cyhyraeth is a scary mythological creature from Welsh folklore. It’s said to be a ghostly spirit that wanders around at night, making a really spooky noise.

So imagine you're on your cozy bed at night, trying to sleep, and suddenly you hear a frightening sound. It's a really creepy wail, almost like a song or a moan. That's the sound of the cyhyraeth!

The cyhyraeth is usually associated with death or bad luck. The legend says that if you hear it coming from a particular direction, it means someone in that direction will soon die. Scary, right?

But don't worry, there are ways to avoid the cyhyraeth. If you hear it coming from the east, for example, you should hide under your blankets and pretend to be asleep. If you hear it coming from the west, you should turn your shoes upside down and sleep with the soles facing up.

Nobody really knows what the cyhyraeth looks like, but some say it could be a woman in white, or a monstrous spirit with a long beard and claws. Whatever it looks like, the important thing is to stay safe and be careful at night.
