Cypherpunk

A cypherpunk is someone who is interested in the use of technology to protect privacy, fight censorship, and promote democracy. They usually use cryptography, or a mix of tech and social activism, to accomplish their goals. Think of cypherpunks like to people who are working to make sure our online lives are safe and secure. They also want to make sure that everybody has the right to speak their own opinion, even if it goes against the grain.
