Cyrillic Alphabet Day

Imagine if all the letters you use to write had different shapes! That's what happened in some countries like Russia, where people use different letters that look different from the ones you're used to seeing.

So, Cyrillic Alphabet Day is a special day to celebrate those different letters that people use in some countries. This day is celebrated on May 24th every year.

The Cyrillic alphabet was created by two brothers named Cyril and Methodius a very long time ago. They wanted to create a way for people to write down the sounds of their language. And that's how the Cyrillic alphabet was born!

Nowadays, millions of people around the world use this alphabet to write in their own language. And on Cyrillic Alphabet Day, people celebrate the importance of these special letters and the cultures that use them.
