Cyrillization of Greek

Hello little one, today we're going to learn about the cyrillization of Greek. That might sound like a big word, but it just means writing Greek language using the Cyrillic alphabet.

You see, different languages use different letters to write their words. Greeks use the Greek alphabet and Russians use the Cyrillic alphabet. Sometimes, people may need to write one language using a different alphabet.

So, when Greeks want to write their language using Cyrillic letters, they have to change the Greek letters into Cyrillic ones. It's kind of like translating words into a different language.

For example, the Greek letter alpha looks like this: α. When we cyrillize it, it becomes а. And the Greek letter beta looks like this: β. When we cyrillize it, it becomes в.

By changing the way that the Greek letters look, we can now write Greek words using Cyrillic letters. This is especially helpful for people who need to write in both languages or if they're trying to learn a new one.

So, that's how we cyrillize Greek. We just change the Greek letters into Cyrillic ones so that we can write Greek words using the Cyrillic alphabet.
