Cyrus the Great

Cyrus the Great was a really important person a long time ago who lived in a place called Persia, which is now modern-day Iran. He was a very brave and strong king who conquered other lands and made his own empire very big.

But, unlike many other kings who were mean and cruel, Cyrus was famous for being a very kind and fair ruler. He would listen to his people and treat them with respect, and even let people who were captured during war go back to their homes and families.

Cyrus was also known for helping different religions, like the Jewish people who were living in a place called Babylon. He told them they could go back to their own home and worship their own god if they wanted to.

So, Cyrus was an important king who was strong and brave, but also kind and fair. People still talk about him and his empire today.
