Cytochrome c

Cytochrome c is a type of protein in your cells that plays an important role in how your cells convert energy from food into the energy needed to perform the tasks your body needs to do. It looks like a long string of hundreds of tiny molecules all strung together like a necklace. These molecules are called amino acids and they join together to form what looks like a tiny, curved triangle. Cytochrome c is a very important part of the process that turns energy from food into energy that your body needs to work!
