DEA list of chemicals

Okay, imagine you have a toy box with lots of different toys in it. Now, there are some toys that might be dangerous for you to play with or that you shouldn't have because you're too young. The DEA list of chemicals is kind of like an adult's list of toys they don't want you to play with because they can be harmful or used to make drugs. The DEA is a group of grown-ups responsible for making sure people use drugs safely and legally. So if they find out someone has these chemicals, they might get in trouble! Just like if you played with a toy you weren't supposed to, you might get in trouble with your parents. Does that make sense?
