Dactyly

Dactyly is a big word that means whether an animal has fingers or toes. Imagine you have five fingers on each of your hands, that's dactyly meaning you have fingers. Some animals have fingers too, like monkeys and racoons. But some animals, like dogs and birds, have paws or talons instead of fingers - they have dactyly too, but they don't have fingers like we do.
