ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Daily Office (Anglican)

So, a daily office in the Anglican Church is like a special time that happens every day for people to come together and talk to God. It’s kind of like a special meeting where people pray and sing songs together.

During the daily office, there are different parts of the meeting that have different things that happen. For example, there might be a part where everyone sings a song to God, and then another part where someone reads from a special book called the Bible.

Sometimes people also say special prayers to ask God for things or to thank Him for things. And at the end of the daily office, there’s usually a time when people can talk to God quietly on their own.

It’s a really special time for people who want to connect with God and be part of a community of other people who feel the same way.
