Danes

Danes are people who live in a country called Denmark. Denmark is a small country in northern Europe, kind of like a neighborhood in a big city. The people who live in Denmark are called Danes because that's what they call themselves. Just like you might call yourself by your name, Danes call themselves Danes.

Danes are famous for a few things. One of them is their love of biking. They often ride their bikes to work, school, or the store because it's good exercise and better for the environment. They also love eating pastries, like yummy Danish pastries that you might have had before.

Danes have their own language called Danish and it can be a little tricky to understand. But many of them can also speak English, so you could probably have a conversation with them. They also have their own flag, called the Dannebrog. It has a red background with a white cross on it.

Danes are friendly and welcoming people, and they are proud of their traditions and culture. When you visit Denmark, you might see castles and colorful buildings or visit amusement parks like Legoland, which is where you can see things made out of LEGO, a toy that's really popular in Denmark. Overall, Danes are really cool people who live in a really cool place!
