Dark matter

Dark matter is a type of invisible matter that is all around us, but we can't see it. It's called dark matter because it doesn't give off any light or energy and so it's very hard to find out where it is. Scientists can only find out if it is there by how it affects other things like stars and planets in space. They think that dark matter makes up most of the universe, so it's actually really important!
