Darrell A. Posey

Darrell A. Posey was a scientist who studied the traditional knowledge of indigenous people, like Native Americans and Brazilians, and the natural resources they used in their everyday lives, like plants, water, and animals. He spent his life trying to learn the secrets of the traditional knowledge, then he wrote about it so that everyone could learn and appreciate the gift of the land these people shared with the rest of the world. He wanted to help protect the natural resources that were so important to these cultures, so that future generations could benefit from them too. He wanted us to respect the earth and all its gifts.
