Data Governance Act

Data governance is like having rules for sharing toys. Just like how you might have rules for playing with your toys with your friends, the Data Governance Act is a set of rules that companies who use your personal information have to follow.

When you give companies your personal information (like your name, address or email), they need to make sure they keep it safe and only use it for the reasons you agreed to. They also need to make sure they don't share it with other people who might use it in bad ways.

The Data Governance Act sets out specific rules that all companies must follow when they use your personal information. It helps to make sure people are using your information fairly and safely, just like how you want to make sure your toys are being played with nicely and not getting broken or lost.
