ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Data bank

A data bank is like a big library for computers. It stores a lot of information, just like how a library stores books. In a data bank, there are lots of pieces of information about things like people, places, numbers, and words. They can be saved in different places and come in different sizes. Computers use this information to help us do lots of different things, from searching for things online to helping us remember important dates.
