Data transformation

Data transformation is a process that changes the form of data but doesn't change its meaning. For example, if you have a list of numbers like 12, 4, 16, 8, we might transform it into 12, 8, 4, 16 to make it easier to read. We didn't change what the numbers mean – it's still the same list – but now it's in a different order.
