Database-centric architecture

Database-centric architecture is a type of architecture that is focused on the use of databases, or large collections of data, to store information. A database is like a big filing cabinet filled with pieces of paper - all with unique information on them. In a database-centric architecture, computers store the information in a central database, instead of in separate, individual files. This way, all the important information can be accessed quickly, and it's easier to keep track of all the different pieces of data.
