ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Debug menu

Okay kiddo, so you know how when you play a video game, you can sometimes find a hidden menu that lets you do all sorts of cool things? Well, that's kind of like what the debug menu is.

Basically, when computer programmers make a game or an app or a website, they have to test it out to make sure it works properly. And sometimes they create a special menu called the "debug menu" that lets them do things like test different parts of the game or see what's happening behind the scenes.

Now, sometimes people who aren't programmers can also access the debug menu, either by typing in a secret code or by using a special tool. And if you can get into the debug menu, you might be able to do some pretty cool stuff! You could change the weather, give yourself powerful weapons or infinite lives, or even visit areas of the game that aren't normally accessible.

But be careful, kiddo! Messing around with the debug menu can sometimes cause glitches or even crash the game. So unless you know what you're doing, it's best to leave the debugging to the experts.
