Decision analysis

Decision analysis is a way of making choices. First you decide what choices you have and then you look at the benefits and costs of each choice. Then you decide which choice is best by looking at the combination of benefits and costs. For example, you might have to decide if you should take the bus or drive to school. You might decide the bus takes longer so it costs more time, but it would cost less money and it would be better for the environment, so you might decide it is the better choice.
