Declaration of incompatibility
Okay kiddo, so sometimes grown-ups make rules called laws. And sometimes, when they make those laws, they don't think about certain things or they don't realize that the law might be unfair or not work properly for some people.
So, there is something called declaration of incompatibility which means that a judge can say that the law the grown-ups made is wrong or unfair, and it doesn't work well for some people.
When a judge does this, they tell the grown-ups that they need to fix the law, so it works better for everyone. So, just like how you might fix a toy that doesn't work properly or is unfair to some of your friends, judges ask grown-ups to fix laws too so that they work better for everyone.
