Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) helps to make sure the US stays safe. It is a part of the US Department of Defense, which is like the boss of the military. DARPA's job is to think of better ways of keeping us safe, like making computer systems that can't be hacked, or powerful microscopes that can help find germs in our environment. DARPA makes sure the US has the best and most up-to-date technology.
