Defense Secrets Act of 1911

The Defense Secrets Act of 1911 was a law that said if you work for the U.S. government and learn or have special information (like a secret) that could harm the country, you must keep it a secret. This means that you cannot share it with anyone else, even your friends or family. The law was made to help protect the United States from spies who might try to get that information.
