Deflexion (linguistics)

Okay, so there's this thing in language called deflexion.

Imagine you're playing with blocks and you're trying to build a tower. You have all these different sizes of blocks and you need to use them in the right order to make the tower taller and taller.

Deflexion is kind of like that tower-building game, but with words instead of blocks. When words change based on their role in a sentence, that's deflexion.

For example, let's say we have the word "run." If you use it as a verb, you might say "I run." But if you use it as a noun, you might say "My run was really fast." See how the word changes just a little bit depending on its job in the sentence?

That's deflexion! It's like the word is changing its shape based on where it needs to fit in the sentence. And just like how you have to use the right size of block to make the tower taller, you have to use the right form of the word to make the sentence make sense.
