Dehalogenation

Dehalogenation is a process where a group of atoms called 'halogens' are removed from a molecule. Halogens are a group of elements in the periodic table, and they include elements like fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine. When these elements are removed from a molecule, it is called dehalogenation. This process can be used to change the chemical properties of a molecule, or to make a chemical reaction happen.
