Demerger

A demerger is when a company splits up and creates two new companies. Imagine that you have a toy store that sells cars and dolls. A demerger would be like splitting the toy store into two different stores. One store would only sell cars and the other would only sell dolls. That way, each store can concentrate on one specific type of toy and be better at selling it.
