Demographics of Eritrea

Eritrea is a country in Africa where a lot of people live. These people come from different backgrounds and have different things that make them unique. These things they have in common, like their age and gender, and where they live are called their demographics.

So, the demographics of Eritrea is all about the people living in the country and what makes them similar or different from one another. Some of the things that make them different are their ethnic groups, religions, languages, and lifestyles.

Eritrea is home to over six million people. The majority of the population is made up of ethnic Tigrinya people, followed by Tigre and Saho people. There are also minorities of Afar, Beja, Bilen, Nara, and other ethnic groups.

In terms of languages, Tigrinya is the most commonly spoken language, followed closely by Tigre, Saho, and Arabic. In Eritrea, there also exists many other languages such as Bilen, Beja, and Afar.

In terms of religion, Islam and Christianity are the main religions practiced in Eritrea. The country has made significant strides in religious harmony and co-existence.

Eritrea's population is relatively young with more than 50 percent of the population under the age of 25. The country also has an almost equal split of males and females.
