Demographics of Yugoslavia

Yugoslavia was a country that existed in Europe a long time ago. People who lived there were of different races, cultures, and religions. This is called diversity.

There were six republics in Yugoslavia: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia. Each republic had its own population.

People in Yugoslavia were classified into different groups by their age, sex, religion, and ethnicity. This is called demographics.

Age: People in Yugoslavia were divided into different groups based on their age. There were young people, middle-aged people, and old people.

Sex: People in Yugoslavia were classified into male and female groups.

Religion: People in Yugoslavia followed different religions, such as Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and others.

Ethnicity: People in Yugoslavia belonged to different ethnic groups, such as Serbs, Croats, Bosniaks, Albanians, Macedonians, and others.

Each of these groups had different population numbers in Yugoslavia. However, conflicts between these different groups led to the disintegration of Yugoslavia, and the countries we have today.
