Derussification in Ukraine means that people in Ukraine are trying to make their country less like Russia. This means that they are removing things that remind them of Russia, such as some symbols, statues, and street names. For example, people might change the name of a street from a Russian name to a Ukrainian name. They also remove some holiday celebrations such as Victory Day, that are seen as too Russian.
