ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Descriptive knowledge

Descriptive knowledge is information that describes something. Imagine you saw a new toy in the store and you want to tell your friend what it looks like. You might say, "It's green and round and has little spikes on it." That's descriptive knowledge! You're describing what the toy looks like.

Another example of descriptive knowledge is when you learn about animals in school. Let's say your teacher tells you that elephants are the largest land animals in the world. That's descriptive knowledge! You're learning about what elephants are and what makes them special.

Overall, descriptive knowledge is about describing and understanding the characteristics, traits, and attributes of things around us. It helps us better understand what things are, how they work, and what makes them unique.
