Imagine you have a puzzle. Each puzzle piece is important and has to fit together to complete the picture. Put the wrong piece in the wrong place and the puzzle won't look right.
When we talk about "designing around," it's like we're putting the puzzle pieces in the right spot. We have to think about all the things we want to include in a space or a product, and then make sure they fit together nicely.
For example, when designing a room in a house, we have to think about how much space we have, how much furniture we want to put in there, what colors we want to use, and what kind of lighting we need. We can't just throw everything in there and hope it looks good. We have to purposefully choose each element and arrange them in a way that looks nice and works well together.
Designing around is all about considering all the different puzzle pieces and figuring out how they fit best.
